Curiousity killed the cat

Michelle hummed to herself quietly as she walked towards the Meagan. She was human sized, her hair hiding her pointed ears so she looked just like an ordinary human or a particularly weak vampire. Either way it was unlikely they'd see she was a fairy straight away.

Michelle glanced round before turning small and crawling under the door, smirking triumphantly as she found no one on the other side. "Bingo." she muttered, returning to human size and moving along the hallway.

Ryland walked down the hallway smirking. He had to make sure a bit of news that he'd heard was true and he wanted to find out personally. "Hmm." He paused, frowning at a person he didn't know, but he kept walking because there were more important things to do at the moment.

Michelle frowned back at the vampire, not knowing (or really caring) who he was.

Ryland turned back around when he realized that there was something wrong with the woman he'd stared at. "Bare your fangs"

Michelle hestiated. "Err..." she grinned sheepishly. "Reign check?"

"You're not a vampire are you?" Ryland frowned, hoping not to get a repeat of those confusing avian intruders. "What are you doing here?"

Michelle swallowed. "I...I want to help the vampires. I'm a changeling."

"Ah," Ryland nodded. "Is that how you got in?"

Michelle nodded, smiling slightly. "Yeah. Y-You;re Ryland Blackinton, right?"

"Yes I am." Ryland eyed the changeling suspiciously.

Michelle bit her lip nervously. "Umm...I-I'm not here to do any damage."

"Do you know how to fake having fangs? It may be dangerous for you here otherwise." Ryland put a halt to his plans.

Michelle blinked and shook her head. "I've never tried." she closed her eyes and frowned. She poked a canine with her tongue and winced a little. "Okay, I know how. Thanks."

"Do that and you should be fine." Ryland looked around to get his bearings. "Do you need to rent a room?"

Michelle smiled and shook her head again. "I'm fine, thanks. Umm, is there anything you want me to do? Anything i should know?"

"Stay away from avians. Watch your step." Ryland shrugged. "If you're needed someone will contact you."

Michelle nodded, smiling still. "Okay. I'm Michelle, by the way. Michelle Branch."

Ryland nodded. "Come with me and I will assign you a practice space to try transforming in."

Michelle nodded and followed him. This is going well...

Ryland led the way down corridors that grew less well-kept as they walked. He even went out a door into another building that seemed far older and seldom used. "Be careful. It's crumbling."

Michelle nodded uncertainly but decided it was best to stay quiet.

The building was less run down on the side facing away from the Meagan and looked dirty but not about to collapse anytime soon. "Here. This house was abandoned a long time ago. It's safer on this side, but you can't enter from the door in it."

Michelle nodded and glanced round. "Thanks. This is fine. Any form you think will be particularly handy?"

"I've received news that there is a Kitsune in the area. Just in case you need to protect yourself a dog shape might be handy. Otherwise I'd try small, stealthy animals and larger strong ones." Ryland stared at a dusty chair in disgust. "Do what you want with the place."
