Part of a Contract, or part of something more?

Aliceabella rubbed at her once bruised jaw absent mindedly as she climbed the steps to the Meagan. She glanced back at Ryland. "Where'd Wren go?" She didn't actually care, she was just trying to make conversation.

Ryland shrugged, eyes dark as he went over his missed opportunity in his mind.

Aliceabella tilted her head. "Are you alright?" She asked, placing a hand on his arm softly.

Ryland looked down at the hand before looking at its owner. He straightened, clearing his face. "Just fine." He led the way to his room.

Aliceabella frowned before walking after him. "Are you sure?" She persisted, he had seemed a little off since they had left the Avian's home.

Ryland raised an eyebrow as he opened the door to his room.

Aliceabella sighed, realising she was going to get no answer. "You know." She whispered as she walked into his room. "If you have buiness to attend to you can go back to the Avian's house." She smiled. "I can tell you want to go."

Ryland raised an eyebrow and grabbed Aliceabella's wrist, pushing her roughly to the bed. "What kind of business did you mean? Would I have to leave?" He smirked.

Aliceabella blinked at this and stared up at him. "I..." Was all she managed.

Ryland pinned her down to the bed, holding her wrists roughlly. "Well?"

Aliceabella blinked. "Well..." She mumbled slowly. "I suppose you wouldn't have to leave." She stared up at him, confused by his sudden change in attitude. She wriggled beneath him, trying to get more comfortable.

Ryland leaned down and bit Aliceabella's shoulder hard.

Aliceabella squealed a little, jerking against him. She hadn't expected that.

Ryland sunk his teeth a little deeper then pulled away. "Hmm?"

Aliceabella shook her head a little. "Nothing, just wasn't expecting it."

Ryland chuckled and got off of the bed, rolling up his shirt sleeves.

Aliceabella sat up, frowning. "What are you doing?" She asked.

Ryland closed the window and sat in a chair near it, "Nothing." He chuckled.

Aliceabella smiled and leant forwards, leaning on her elbows. "Get the poor ventilation problems sorted?" She asked, resisting the urge to rub her shoulder.

"You're trusting," Ryland commented off-handedly.

Aliceabella tilted her head. "That came out of no-where, but yes- I suppose I am."

Ryland looked over from his comfortable chair and chuckled again. "You have to realized what I could do to you..."

Aliceabella shrugged. "I'm aware of it." She frowned, realising her make up was still a mess. "Mind if I go wipe this off?" She asked, scratching some eyeliner off her cheek.

Ryland extended a hand towards the bathroom. "Be my guest."

Aliceabella scrambled up from the bed, smiling in thanks. She entered the bathroom and grimaced- she looked worse than she had feared.
