Victory

Aliceabella stayed where she was, nails flashing bright orange for a moment. Fire shot up Tom's arm.

Ryland chuckled at the flames and put them out. "Jealousy, I like that." He patted Tom's shoulder. "Soon it will be over."

Aliceabella's eyes narrowed, setting fire to Tom's shoulder so it would burn both of them. She turned to leave, eyes dark.

Ryland frowned and put out the fire on himself first and Tom second.

Aliceabella paused and turned to look back at Ryland. "What do you want me to do, get rid of it or keep it?" She held up the test but was actually talking about the child.

"Your choice," Ryland said despite what the elders of the clan would have wished.

Aliceabella shrugged. "I've never got rid of one before, least not by choice, dont see why now should be different." Her eyes flickered to Tom.

Ryland kicked Tom sharply in the side and shrugged at Aliceabella.

Aliceabella frowned. "What are you going to do with him anyway?" She suddenly became aware of how hungry she was.

"Turning him," Ryland bent to pick another spot to bite into.

Aliceabella wrinkled her nose. "Oh." She replied flatly, 'accidentaly' burning Tom's leg.

Ryland decided not to waste any more time and bit into Tom's neck, working on the fire with his mind.

Aliceabella scowled as she noticed the fire beginning to dim and increased it, fire shooting up Tom's leg to just below his groin.

Ryland pushed the fire away from Tom's groin with his mind and slowly sucked the man's blood.

Aliceabella scowled and increased it again, wondering where this sudden desire to burn was coming from.

Ryland used more concentration as he fought back the flames, needing Tom to be able to use his legs. He put his wrist to the man's mouth to transfer some vampire blood.
