Lieing low

Kit got back from walking all the local dogs. They were his pack now, he only had them on leads to keep p the show. They were easy to handle. They were also owned by people who paid well. He sat in the abandoned tomb with an old paper back of a werewolf tale. For all I know that could be my grandfather. He hated it, never knowing. Who he was the son of a dog and a wolf.

Hood shifter bored of the book and it's rather too personal overtones. He walked down the street heading to the park, he kept checking in case the dog catchers were out. he'd had someproblems there before. Luckily they put him down as a student pulling a stunt breaking in to the dog pound. he had been walking round the park for a while when he saw a young female husky with a police man. He was obviously off duty and had taken the dog for a walk. He wasn't really paying attention so Hood wandered over. The police were very good about neutering dogs so it would be good for a quick one.

Having been chased off my the police officer. Hood headed back to the tomb feeling better. His tail was held high and he was happy. He noticed a new resedent at the b and b but took no notice.

Xcelia walked into the graveyard- smiling as she saw Hood. "Hood!" She cried, running over to Hood in his dog form and hugging it.

Hood wagged his tail when he saw the familiar face. His clothes were back to the tomb so he didn't shift. Instead he licked her hand.

Xcelia smiled and stopped hugging him, sitting on a grave. "You going to shift?" She asked

Hood turned and went in to the tomb comeing out a minute later fully dressed. "Better?" he asked raising his eyebrows, "How have you been?"

Xcelia stared up at him and suddenly started to cry. She turned away from him hurridly, trying to hide her tears.

Hood walked quickly over too her scooping her in too his arms and hugging her.
"Whats wrong... Are you okay?"

Xcelia shook her head and clung to him, sobbing brokenly. "I hate humans Hood, there all so mean!" She pulled back weakly and lifted her top to show her stomach, where there was a large cut.

"What the hell? Who did that to you?" He kneeled down to get a closer look, it wasn't bad but it wasn't nice either. "Has anyone had a look at this yet?"

Xcelia shook her head softly. "It was these humans- these really orthadox ones that hate anything thats not human." She glanced down at him. "It's not infected is it?"

"I don't know.Sit down, I'll have a look. I'll have to clean it and it will hurt." He said heading back in to the tomb and emerging witha first aid box.

Xcelia sighed and seated herself on a tombstone, absent mindedly smoothing down her leather skirt. "Hood...Don't the Wereleopards live in the Graveyard?" She mumbled, itching her tatoo.

"The what? Oh, the were leapords, yeh they do. We just keep out of eachothers way. i don't bother them they don't bother me. It's better than paying rent." He said pulling appart the sides of the wound it order to clean it.

Xcelia let out a squeak as he opened the wound. "A word of warning might be nice!" She gasped.

"I did say it would hurt." he said whipping antiseptic cream around quiet liberaly. "When did it happen?"

Xcelia frowned. "Bout an hour or so ago." She shuffled a little. "Can I stay here with you?"

"well this cut should be fine once I ge a dressing on it." Hood leaned back to look her in the face. "If you've got somewhere else you can go go there, that cut could get infected."

Xcelia leaned in a little closer to him. "I haven't got anywhere else to go..." She whispered.

"Well...I suppose, yeh okay, it's freezing cold and that but you can stay." He took out a dressing and leant in to pass it round the back of her and tied it there.

Xcelia smiled and hugged him. "Thank you."

He returned the hug being careful not to touch the wound. "It'll be nice to have some company for once."

Xcelia snuggled into his arms a little, resting her head on his shoulder. She kissed his cheek thankfully. "Thanks Hood."

Hood lead her in to the tomb with an arm round his shoulders. His bag was on the floor with clothes spilling out and books scattered around it. He quickly started shoving them over. "Sorry, I don't entertain very often."
