Matt stared at the floor. I can always come back if I don't like it. He nodded jerkily, shaking. He waited for retribution and punishment.

William smirked slightly at Ryland before standing up slowly with a sigh. "Then let's go," he smiled, walking towards the door.

Matt's eyes widened. He followed William, terrified of what Ryland might do.

William shut Ryland's door with a smile. "Bye Ryland," he said, smiling as he began walking towards the stairs.

William opened the door, allowing Matt to walk out first. He was still smiling, content that he had finally been able to save the boy like he should have years ago. "I promise you'll be treated better," he said, looking over at Matt as they walked.

William smiled at the man. "This way," he said, turning down a street so that they could get back home a little faster.

"Well that was interesting," Ryland muttered once he realized they weren't coming back. He smirked and stood, stretching. I wonder if William's confidence is still intact or if his hormones have changed his mood again.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets and exited the room, ignoring other vampires who greeted him on his way out of the building.
