Danger comith and his name be Damian

Aliceabella bit her lip. "I'm not a vampire, I shouldn't even be here as it is and..." She shook her head. "Just please, don't let Damian take this city." Tentaivly she took his hand, clearly terrified of his reaction. "Please."

"You're pregnant," Ryland said flatly and shrugged. "Vampires will take this city regardless of whether it is my clan or not."

Aliceabella shook her head frantically. "But you're the leader- you can stop him- or at least try! Please!" She clung to his hand a little tighter. "I'll help whenever I can, I promise!"

"Thank you." Ryland raised his eyebrows. "I hate to bring this up again but you are pregnant, and I don't expect that you can do much."

Aliceabella nodded weakly. "But I can tell you when he's coming, tell you what his few weaknesses are and things like that." She briefly wondered why he hadn't shrugged her hand away yet- but figured it must of been pity.

"You remind me of someone," Ryland said suddenly, grinning slightly.

Aliceabella blinked. "Really? Who?"

"Someone who died," Ryland's eyes glinted for just a second before his face returned to an emotionless mask.

Aliceabella nodded slowly. "I am sorry for your loss." She whispered, still not letting go of his hand. She felt scared and this small amount of pyshical contact was calming her a little.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay?" Ryland smiled slightly, amused by the woman's clingyness.

Aliceabella paused before she looked up at him. "Are you sure I wouldn't be a bother?"

"Sure," Ryland nodded, grinning in his best attempt to seem friendly.

Aliceabella smiled and slowly let go of his hand. "Thank you."

Ryland looked at his hand and stuffed it in his pocket. He inclined his head to the reception desk and turned in that direction.

Aliceabella smiled and followed him, standing close and glancing nervously at some other vampires.

Ryland stode confidiently to the desk and arranged for a room, not entirely verbally. The vampires there knew him well enough to know what he wanted.

Aliceabella stood a little closer to Ryland and eyed the other vampires wearily. A shudder went through her left hand from her wedding ring, shooting up her entire body till she gasped loudly, a small trickle of blood dripping from the corner of her mouth. Aliceabella cursed softly and began looking for the handkercheif Ryland had given her previously.

Ryland watched silently as he waited to be given the keys. He brought a hand to his mouth to cover a forced cough to clear his throat in order to hide a smile. She's even pregnant like him.

Aliceabella found the handkercheif at last and dabbed at her mouth delicatly. She bit her lip and with a jerk, removed the wedding ring.

Ryland looked back at the desk when the right keys were retrieved and refused service so he could show the way himself. "If you are ready..."

Aliceabella shoved the ring in her pocked and smiled. "Yes I'm ready." She ajusted her coat a little. "Thank you." She added.

"This way," Ryland started walking swiftly then slowed his pace when he remembered who he was leading.

Aliceabella walked beside him, trying not to show the effort it took to keep up with him. She shifted her bag a little and looked up at Ryland. "How long have you been the leader of the vampires?" She asked, trying not to sound out of breath and failing miserably.

Ryland gradually slowed more and shrugged. "I forget when it became official. My father was the previous clan leader."

Aliceabella nodded and smiled in thanks for him slowing down. "It must be hard being a leader, especially for vampires."
