"It is," Ryland shrugged, "but I have known no other life."

Aliceabella smiled brightly. "You should go on holiday!" She paused, realising how stupid she sounded. "I mean..."

Ryland chuckled and turned into another hallway, taking note of room numbers. "Perhaps I should."

Aliceabella nodded and unconsciously stood a little closer to him.
He didn't look at me like I was a complete idiot- better yet he didnt hit me! Aliceabella thought happily.

Ryland reached the right room and halted suddenly, not realizing that Aliceabella was walking closer to him.

Aliceabella let out a small gasp as she collided with Ryland, grabbing his arm to stop herself from falling. "Sorry!" She cried, still clinging to his arm, her legs groggily trying to find footing.

Ryland reached out to grab her shoulders gently to help her right herself, "Okay?"

Aliceabella blushed and nodded. "Sorry about that." She looked down, expecting a smack to the face for being so stupid.

Ryland gently grabbed Aliceabella's chin to nudge her face back up and turned to unlock the door acting as if nothing happened as he swung it open.

Aliceabella stared at him in shock before turning to look into the room. She stepped inside and looked back at him. "Come in, please?" She whispered.

Ryland raised his eyebrows and entered the room. "Do you need anything?"

Aliceabella bit her lip. "I just..." She sighed. "Sorry, it's ok. You can go if you want."

Ryland made no indication that he was going to move. "Tell me what it is."

Aliceabella bit her lip again, drawing a small amount of blood. "I just don't like being alone is all." She shrugged. "Like I said, you can go if you want."

I wonder if that's why you attached yourself to Carden's side. Ryland closed the door and sat down at the small table in the room. "Where are you going to go after you leave here?"

Aliceabella paused before shrugged feebly, removing her coat and gently placing it on the bed. "I don't know really, I suppose it depends on how long I'm allowed to stay."

"As long as you need to," Ryland hid his amusement.

Aliceabella nodded slowly. "Well, I suppose I shouldn't stay too long- I don't know when Damian is going to leave Romania for here..." She looked up at him. "But of course when I know he's coming I'll leave, I won't put you or your clan at danger!"

Ryland raised an eyebrow. "My clan is at war. Which reminds me..." Ryland stood. "There was some information I wanted to confirm. Would you care to accompany me? It will be perfectly safe and perhaps you can pick up some things you need."

Aliceabella nodded and grabbed her coat, slipping it on. "Where are we going?" She asked, patting her hair back into it's proper place.

"Downtown," Ryland opened the door and held it for Aliceabella. "But first perhaps we should stop by and visit the house of a friend."

Aliceabella nodded in thanks for him holding the door for her and stepped out into the corridor. "Which friend?" She asked, fastening her coat with difficulty. "Are they a vampire?"

"No he's an avian," Ryland smiled and lead the way into the corridor.

Aliceabella frowned. "What's an Avian?" She followed him, making sure not to stand too close incase she smacked into him again.

Ryland paused. "They're like vampires with wings in a way. Their hair grows fast and they each have a power. Also they hatch from eggs."
