Not according to plan

Aliceabella frowned. "When are you going to let him out?"

"Never," Ryland replied simply, holding the door open.

Aliceabella blinked and steped inside. "But why?"

"He doesn't deserve it," Ryland watched her.

Aliceabella looked up at him. "What did he do?"

"Sided with the enemy," Ryland raised his eyebrows.

Aliceabella blinked. "Oh." She looked down at the bottom of her dress, grimacing as she saw the ripped fabric.

Ryland looked down at her dress in amusement. "Weren't you getting something?"

Aliceabella blinked. "Yeah..." She slipped her coat on and grabbed her bag. She smiled at Ryland and headed towards the door.

"Going somewhere?" Ryland asked in amusement.

Aliceabella frowned and looked down. "I just thought...Well, do you want me here?"

"No one is making you go, but no one is making you stay either," Ryland said ambiguously.

Aliceabella frowned. "That isnt what I asked. I asked if you wanted me here."

"What do you mean by that?" Ryland sat down in a chair, letting his useless arm rest in his lap.

Aliceabella shrugged. "Would you notice or even care if I was gone?" She turned to look at him.

"I'd notice," Ryland smirked.

"Would you be glad I was gone?" Aliceabella focused on his arm, not wanting to look him in the eye.

Ryland shrugged, "You're free to do whatever you want."

Aliceabella stood where she was for a moment before slowly putting the bag down and slipping her coat off.

Ryland looked at her for a moment but didn't say anything.

Aliceabella moved her bag and coat to one side before looking up at Ryland. "Do you need anything?"

"No," Ryland said. "I can have anything brought up to me."

Aliceabella nodded, seating herself on the end on the bed. "Will you be able to get changed with your arm like that?" She blushed slightly.

"I think so..." Ryland frowned slightly.

Aliceabella tilted her head. "You might struggle getting your shirt off, I've no idea about your trousers."
