William entered the building, closing his eyes again. He stopped once he was inside.

William held still, watching as three separate vampires came and retrieved his children, much to William's shock. "NO!" he shouted, trying to fight back. He was too weak, and was only punched in the face as the three men carried off his children, not concerned with how they were bieng handled.

Mike ran all the way to the Meagan, never stopping to catch his breath. He could have cried, but what seemed to be tears had frozen on his eyelashes. I can't be there too late. He almost tripped on the steps leading to the door; he managed to reach it and knock on it several times before noticing the cold was causing him too much pain in his hands and arms. Open, you bastard.

Ryland laughed at William's feeble attempts to save his children and motioned for another vampire to answer the door as he grabbed his former mate's arm roughly.

William lowered his head, much like he always had. I guess this is a 'wecome home'...

As soon as the door was open, Mike pushed it so hard it knocked the vampire backwards. He quickly spotted Ryland and William, and his heart stopped when he saw his children were gone. "Blackinton!" he yelled, his jaw not quite functioning normally due to the cold. "Get your hands off my husband."

William let out a small whimper, his eyes still directed towards the ground. His spirit was broken; he didn't have the hope to look up. Even if he could go back with Mike, he had lost his children.

"What the fuck do you want from us? Haven't you had enough?" He clenched his sore fists. "Let William go. Where are my kids?"

"William," Ryland started in a uncharacteristicly kind voice. "Do you want to go with Mike?"

William stood completely still, staring at the ground. He thought for a moment, nodding his head extremely slowly. It was as if he were the tin man, and had just been out in the pouring rain.

"Please," Mike insisted, still staring at Ryland. William's hesitation broke his heart, but he didn't say anything about it.

William's eyes widened as he stared at the ground. "Y-you can't do this," he whimpered.

"You fucking bastard." Mike walked up to Ryland, fist raised. "They aren't even yours. You have no right to do this. I won't let you."

"No deal?" Ryland twisted William's arm behind his back so it would break if he tried to jerk away. "But I've already taken them."

William whimpered helplessly. He tried to move only slightly, his arm cracking into two.

Deciding it couldn't possibly get any worse, Mike wrapped an arm around William, struggling and tugging to free him as he repeatedly hit Ryland's arm.

Ryland kept a firm grip, kicking Mike in the shin.

William held still, still facing the ground. His arm went limp, the bone completely shattered across the middle. He whimpered, trying not to cry.

Mike grunted. Having nothing more to lose, he punched Ryland under his jaw with all the strenght he could gather.

Ryland groaned and fell, dragging William down with him.

William fell down quickly, landing on his broken arm. He gasped for air, unable to scream. His hip bone smashed into Ryland's as he landed on top of the man, almost like an accidental shield.
