Because of You

Aliceabella sighed as she leant forwards to rest her head on her hands. Dane had gone to get something to eat from Starbucks, and she assumed Ryland was with that new human of his. Biting her lip she looked around and wondered faintly if anyone even came down this part of the building, it looked extremly old. A slight trickle of pain went through her lower stomach and she allowed two small tears to trickle down her face.

Wren sauntered down the hallway, wondering why Aliceabella would even be in this part of the Meagan. She smirked as she spotted the other vampire. She started singing an old folk song, knowing it sounded creepy coming from her.
"Early one morning,
Just as the sun was rising,
I heard a maid sing,
In the valley below."

Aliceabella looked up and sighed, not in the mood for Wren or her insults. She clutched the pregnancy test to her chest, the word 'Positive' standing out in the dim lighting. "Leave me alone Wren." She whispered.

Wren tilted her head to one side innocently. She kept on singing.
"Oh, don't deceive me,
Oh, never leave me,
How could you use
A poor maiden so?"

Aliceabella sighed and stood up, walking away from Wren. "Leave me be will you!" She cried.

Wren rolled her eyes and straightened up her head. "He moved on, didn't he?" she called loudly.

Aliceabella stopped in her tracks. "No." She whispered. "I was never strictly speaking with him so he couldnt move on."

Wren sighed. "Yeah well neither was I. I thought there was somethin' and then he moved on." she shrugged. "I was a fool. So were your by the sound of it."

Aliceabella bit her lip. "But I bet you didnt end up pregnant from it." She whispered.

Wren's eyes widened. "No, I wasn't that lucky." she frowned. "So you're with child, huh? How far along are you?"

Aliceabella shrugged. "Just found out." She held up the test. "He..he's got a mate now though. At least I think he has." Tears filled her eyes.

Wren glared at the ground. "You know I'm jsut about seeing what a bastard he is." she muttered. She glanced up. "For what it's worth I came here to tell you to have him, not that he was mine to give."

Aliceabella began crying, unable to help herself. "I don't know what I'm going to do!"

Wren shrugged. "Abortion? Adoption?"

Aliceabella frowned. "What's an abortion?"

Wren blinked. "Get rid of the baby before it's born." she explained quickly. "There's a place in the city centre, I think. Want me to go with you? I have nothing better to do than sing folks songs."

Aliceabella's eyes widened. "I can't do that!" Her arms flew around her stomach, giving away her true feelings.

Wren raised an eyebrow. "How come why not?"

Aliceabella bit her lip, desperatly trying to think of a reason. "Well...If I have a baby, at least I'll have someone for company." She settled on.

A small, bemused smile found its way onto Wren's face. "That's not it. We both know that's not it. Now is it because it's his or because you're scared to get rid of it?"

Aliceabella sniffled, more tears sliding down her face. "The first one." She whispered.

Wren nodded. "I thought so." she murmured. "But that kid is gonna be with you for the rest of your life, even if you get rid of it. In your dreams, your memories." she frowned. "You'll never move on like that."

Aliceabella rubbed her eyes with her hand. "If it's always going to be there then there's no point in getting rid of it."

Wren shook her head. "Right now it's just this thing inside of you. It's only called life when you give birth, apparently." she shrugged. "You're doing it a favour if you're only gonna give it up, I recon."

Aliceabella frowned. "I'd be killing it, how is that doing it a favour?"
