Because of You

Aliceabella groaned and wiped her mouth. "I'm thinking the first- but I dont understand I shouldnt be getting any of that yet."

Wren frowned. "I have no clue. Never been with child. been with man but not with child."

Aliceabella frowned and placed a hand on her stomach. "Maybe it knows I'm upset." She whispered.

Wren could only shrug again. "You want the kid or not?" she asked.

Aliceabella nodded wordlessly, a few tears streaming down her face.

"You want it?" Wren shrugged. "Alright but don't expect me to quit my singing for you."

Aliceabella frowned. "I haven't fed yet, maybe that's it."

Wren sighed. "I have no clue. Speak to a doctor, they're supposed to be smart, right?" Her eyes lit up. "How about the bark of a willow tree? That always helps with my stomach pains."

Aliceabella frowned, unsure if Wren was joking or not. "I think I'll stick with the blood option." She pouted. "Ryland promised we'd feed when we were out, but we didnt." She grumbled.

Wren rolled her eyes. "If I were you I'd give up on his promises. He always seems to have some hidden agenda that doesn't seem to focus on one person or involve you." she shrugged yet again. "It's all very enfuriating, I find."

Aliceabella shrugged. "People fall in love for the wrong reasons sometimes." She whispered, pushing herself into a standing position.

Wren nodded. "Oh yeah." she agreed. She grabbed Aliceabella's arm and helped her stand. "Sure you don't want some bark?"

Aliceabella shook her head. "I think I'll pass."

Wren shrugged. "Suit yourself. So you're gonna keep it?" she let out a low whistle. "Ginelle would kill to have lost her's." she grinned at Aliceabella. "Little witch was with child at sixteen."

Aliceabella shrugged. "I was pregnant when I was eleven, lost it though."

Wren's eyes widened. "I honestly didn't think that was psosible." she admitted.

Aliceabella nodded. "It's true."

Wren's eyebrows rose. "Okay."

Aliceabella rubbed her eyes and sniffled. "I need to feed, where can I go?"

Wren grinned. "I recomend the humans at the Metro. They're suitably stupid."

Aliceabella bit her lip, "Come with me?" She asked.

Wren sighed. "Fine. But no more complaining 'bout my songs."

Aliceabella shrugged. "Just no singing."

Wren scowled. "Actually they're good bait."

Aliceabella sighed and put the pregnancy test in her pocket. "I could do with getting changed first."
