Silently, like everything else the vampire did, he lay down on the bed and turned away. He had no covers. Warmth was for the weak. | |

| The vampire Ryland had grabbed hurriedly admitted she hadn't seen Wren Erickson in a while. She glanced nervously at Matt Heafy as if turning her back to him would result in instant death. As soon as she was released she fled.
