No reason

"I've never laid like this with anyone before," Ryland commented with the same enthusiasim as if he was called upon to answer a question in class.

Aliceabella frowned. "Really?" She propped herself up on her elbows. "I can move if you want..."

"No it's fine," Ryland looked at her.

Aliceabella nodded. "Just let me know if you want me to move..." She stared back at him, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks.

Ryland gently pulled Aliceabella back to his chest, still slightly confused but hiding it.

Aliceabella smiled and snuggled into him, yawning loudly then blushing. "Sorry..." She mumbled, closing her eyes and expecting to be hit. She'd always been taught good manners- and to forget them was to earn a whack to the face or stomach.

"Go to sleep," Ryland said, staring at the ceiling again.

Aliceabella blinked and slowly opened her eyes to stare at him in surprise. "Aren't you mad at me?" She whispered.

"No? Why would I be?" Ryland didn't look down.

Aliceabella bit her lip. "I...Never mind." She shook her head quickly.

"I don't hit guests. Well... not the kind of guest you are," Ryland smirked slightly.

Aliceabella wasnt sure wether she should laugh or frown at that, but decided to smile. She yawned again, covering her mouth with her hand daintily. Resting her head on Ryland's chest she closed her eyes. "Night..." She mumbled, snuggling into him as much as she could.

Ryland went silent and continued staring at the ceiling. He didn't need any sleep.

Aliceabella hadn't been asleep very long when her eyes shot open and she let out a sob. Not fully awake yet she clung to the nearest person,who happened to be Ryland,and began sobbing hysterically.

Ryland sat up slightly, unsure what to do because it wasn't in his habit to comfort people. He did however want Aliceabella to stop making so much noise so he was going to try.

Aliceabella clung to him a little tighter, shaking all over. "H-he's left Romania..." She whispered. "He's...he's nearly here."

Ryland rubbed her back, wondering what would happen next.

Aliceabella clung to him. "He's been tricking me with those stupid visions, making me think he was still in Romania when he was really just outside Chicago." She paled a little more and clung tighter to Ryland.

Ryland quickly went over possible outcomes in his head.

Aliceabella bit her lip. "I should go, I should..." She trailed off, she didn't know what to do!

"Do what you wish," Ryland said but made no move because Aliceabella didn't.

Aliceabella bit her lip. "I don't want to put you or your people at risk..." She made no attempt to move from his arms, but relaxed her hold on him ever so slightly.

"That ring. Is there anything special about it?" Ryland asked.

Aliceabella nodded. "He can track me w-" She cut off mid sentance and her eyes widened. "Where's my coat?!" She cried.

Ryland gently shifted Aliceabella off of his lap and laid her back down. He moved to get her coat.
